Advocate for the river

From banning pollutants to passing strong rules to guide local riverfront development, many of FMR's victories are thanks to our strong base of River advocates or River Guardians. Your voice is essential to our efforts to protect, restore and enhance the Mississippi River!

Become an FMR River Guardian

Sign up and we'll email you when an important river issue arises. We make it quick and easy to contact decision-makers. River Guardians are also invited to special social hours and other events about important legislative and metro river corridor issues.

What we're working on

River Guardians advocate for strong water quality rules and laws at the state and national levels as well as a wide variety of metro corridor projects and proposals.

Visit our Water & Legislative Updates and Land Use & Planning Updates to learn more about current projects.

Curious about what FMR staff and River Guardians have weighed in on in the past? Check out past action alerts, comments and letters we've sent to city planners, legislators, judges and other decision-makers.
